My practice. Your journey.
Clients have reached out to me because life circumstances have left them in pain, anxiousness, discomfort or even a loss of hope for the road ahead. They may have felt emotionally worn or tired and perhaps wonder if there's brighter future ahead of them. You, as others who have reached out to me, desire a different life for yourself or your loved ones; one that is happier, loving and hopeful. Instead of focusing on our inadequacies or allowing ourselves to feel stuck, it's important to focus on what we want to become. Through hard work, patience and creativity we can become the type of person we've always wanted to be.
You and I are teammates and I your fellow-explorer rather than someone with the wisdom to answer all of life's questions. You have a great deal of experience and you have the ability within you to create a life worth living. My promise is simple. I will listen and offer new perspectives for our discovery in addition to help set goals to get you to where you want to be. I enjoy working with others in creating a life and future they desire.
I earned my Master of Science in Counseling from Southern Methodist University in marriage & family therapy. While completing my graduate work I was distinguished and designated as SMU's North Texas Chapter of the Texas Association for Play Therapy Emerging Leader. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and my Bachelor of Science in Child Learning & Development from the University of Texas at Dallas. While completing my undergraduate work I was actively involved in student associations that worked to progress the field of psychology. My coursework, involvement in professional associations and clinical experience has prepared me to assist those with varying life complications and backgrounds. My work in assisting others truly does bring me happiness and sense of satisfaction. Helping others develop into what they desire it to become is a privilege.
